The Art of Joy & Liberation

"Pleasure gets lost under the weight of oppression, and it is liberatory work to reclaim it." -adrienne maree brown

"The role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible." -Toni Cade Bambara

Join us on Sunday, April 3rd for The Art of Joy & Liberation with internationally acclaimed artist, poet and activist Sonya Renee Taylor (author of The Body is Not an Apology), celebrated folk & gospel duo MaMuse (We Shall Be Known, Force of Nature & more) and beloved Mazin Jamal of Thrive Choir.

Art and joy keep our lives lifted and movements vital. What is the role of pleasure, joy and self-love in creating a liberated world? How does the power of creative expression heal us, expand us and free us? Join as we wage beauty together and unleash the spirit of music, words and liberation.
